About Digital Therapy Solutions
We built the site we wish had existed.
Not another affiliate directory that recommends everything. An honest research publication that tells you the tradeoff.
The origin
Why this site exists
David Kirsch built Digital Therapy Solutions after spending weeks trying to figure out which online therapy platform was right for a family member. Every site he found either recommended everything ("all platforms are great!") or led with affiliate links without disclosing them. The pricing was vague. The "reviews" were barely distinguishable from the platforms' own marketing copy.
"Every review site I found was either clueless or corrupted. The right answer was to build the one that wasn't."
The mission became simple: build the site that actually does the work. Test the platforms. Verify the pricing. Check the insurance coverage. Then write what we found — clearly, with tradeoffs named, with "who should look elsewhere" sections that other sites are too scared to include.
How we work
Our methodology
We sign up for every platform we review. We go through the intake process, get matched, and verify pricing at the payment screen — not by trusting the marketing copy. When a platform says "$65/week," we go to checkout.
The people
Our team
David has a background in operations and research. He built Digital Therapy Solutions as a consumer advocacy project after experiencing firsthand how opaque the mental health services landscape is for regular people trying to find help.
His work is focused on translating platform complexity into plain language that actually helps people make decisions — not language that sounds helpful while protecting advertisers.
Clinical Review Network
We're actively recruiting licensed therapists and mental health professionals to review our content. If you're a licensed clinical professional interested in contributing, email us at reviewers@digitaltherapysolutions.com.
Our commitment to you
We earn affiliate commissions when you sign up through our links. We disclose this clearly on every page. These commissions pay for our research and keep the site free. They do not influence our rankings — we've recommended platforms we don't have affiliate relationships with, and we've written critical reviews of platforms we do.
No platform has ever paid us for a favorable review. No platform has ever been told in advance what their score would be. If that ever changes, we'll close the site.
