Privacy Policy
Your data, explained plainly.
No legalese. No surprises. Here's what we collect, what we don't, and what happens to it.
What we collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
- Analytics data — page views, session duration, referral source, and device type. This is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data.
- Email addresses — only if you voluntarily contact us. We don't have a newsletter, a mailing list, or an email capture form.
The short version: We know how many people read our pages. We don't know who they are.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect health information, therapy history, or anything related to your mental health
- We don't require account creation or login
- We don't collect payment information — we don't sell anything directly
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone
- We don't serve behavioral advertising
Mental health is sensitive. We designed this site so you can research your options without leaving a data trail.
Cookies & analytics
We use basic analytics (currently Google Analytics with anonymized IP) to understand which pages are useful and how visitors navigate the site. This helps us improve our research — not target you with ads.
Google Analytics sets cookies. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by using a browser extension that blocks analytics trackers.
Third parties
When you click a link to an external platform (BetterHelp, Talkspace, etc.) and visit their site, you're subject to that platform's privacy policy — not ours. We recommend reading it before signing up for any service.
We link to third-party sites for informational purposes. We're not responsible for their privacy practices.
Affiliate tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the platform we're referring you to may set a tracking cookie to attribute the referral to us. This is standard affiliate tracking and is disclosed in our affiliate disclosure.
This cookie records that you clicked our link. It does not transmit any personal data we have collected. The platform's privacy policy governs what happens next.
Your rights
If you're in California (CCPA), the EU or UK (GDPR), or other jurisdictions with data rights: you can request information about data we hold about you, request deletion, or opt out of data sale. Since we don't sell data and don't hold personally identifiable information, these requests are typically satisfied by default.
